Yes it is quite easy just make it as simble as possible:
1) let the marsboard boot with android (the version that come out of package)
2) download this: http://get.berryboot.com/ and get the .apk
3) put the apk in a flashdrive plug in the upper usb port of the board
4) open the usb drive and install the .apk, once done insert a formatted sd card in the board
5) unplug the flash drive
6) open the application you have installed called berryboot and click to write the beeryboot image to sd card
7) once done the app will ask you to reboot let it do and ... hey it boot berryboot
8) now proceed to setup and choose a linux distro and a place you want to install

@kah.
Plug the usb2serial debug cable to your board and check whether it boots or not?
Don't ask why, just check it.

Hi kah,
Which linux distribution did you check?
check one of the following if not checked:
•Ubuntu / Xubuntu / Lubuntu 12.04
•Fedora 17 XFCE
•Android with uinput enabled image - DroidMote
•Linaro ALIP armhf image
•Gentoo
•Debian Wheezy LXDE armhf

You should also check the power supply since the current used to run the board is more than Cubieboard.
Try using a 2A external power supply not the usb.
Hope that solve your problem.

Hi Dariush

I use a real powersupply not a USB wall charger.
I have try all images who was recommended in download area before it was changed.
and try some of Miniands images etc.
As I have try 4 different boards i am realy shure it's a hardware construction failure on the board.
It's sad that Marsboard team don't take care of there customers.
As example publishing a script.fex file for the hardware and
update sunxi-bsp HW git archive.

Have you any working linux dist running and does it manage to do a reboot.

see here,http://www.marsboard.com/download.html, if you want to use other linux img, you must change the uboot (sunxi-spl.bin u-boot.bin), i will more faster and stable for marsboard. run dd if=spl/sunxi-spl.bin of=$card bs=1024 seek=8 dd if=u-boot.bin of=$card bs=1024 seek=32 replace it.

@ AVRman.
I've changed the SPL and U-boot provided, but they don't work as expected.
We hope much more better support from you.
@kah
I don't know whats wrong with your board!
Try using the lubuntu image provided by Mars.
I've checked all of the mk802ii images and all of them boots, although there are some boot issues.
Reboot works propely in some images.
